Arroyo Viejo Recreation Center (meaning Old Creek in Spanish) is located in one of the largest and most beautiful parks in the City of Oakland. Our park features a lively creek, picnic areas, a community garden, and much more.  We are also located next to East Oakland Pride Elementary School and four blocks from Markham Elementary School. Our center and park are equipped with a field for football/soccer, three kids play areas, courtyard area, meeting rooms, craft and game room, outdoor basketball courts, baseball & softball fields, and a recording studio. We have bilingual staff members to help our Spanish-speaking community members. We are also an ADA Inclusion Center.

Arroyo Viejo Recreation Center (AVRC) has programs for all ages, as well as a host of events that take place throughout the year. AVRC is also an excellent venue for your next special event.
