Arroyo Viejo (meaning Old Creek in Spanish) Recreation Center is located in one of the largest and most beautiful parks in the City of Oakland. Our park features a lively creek, picnic areas, a community garden, and much more.  We are also located next to East Oakland Pride Elementary School and four blocks from Markham Elementary School. Our center and park are equipped with a football/soccer field, play areas for toddlers, patio area, social hall, craft and game room, basketball courts, and newly renovated baseball and softball fields. We have bilingual staff members to help our Spanish-speaking community members. We are also an ADA Inclusion Center.


Arroyo Viejo Recreation Center (AVRC) is an excellent venue for your next special event. Our Social Hall, Meeting Rooms, Industrial Kitchen, Patio, Sprawling park areas, and coming soon, Commercial Kitchen are available for rent.
