OPRYD’s Town Experiences Afterschool Program (TAP) offers an afterschool experience for elementary-age youth, combining education, physical activity, and creative expression in a safe and supportive environment. Participants engage in a wide range of activities, such as homework assistance, STEAM projects, theme-based games, sports, arts and crafts, and team-building exercises. These activities are designed to enhance learning, promote creativity, and develop life skills.

Cooking for Health Academy

This is a FREE cooking and nutrition class series. Each class covers:

• Nutrition Education
• Culinary Skills
• Hands-on Food Preparation
• Food Safety
• Seasonal Produce Tips

BONUS! Earn a California Safe Food Handler’s Certificate by completing the Academy classes and taking an online exam!

This class will be taught online via Zoom. Upon registration login, information for the Zoom classes will be emailed to you at least 3 days prior to the first class. You will also be required to pick up supplies and sign in prior to each class on Wednesdays, starting October 7th between 12pm & 3pm at Arroyo Viejo Recreation Center. 

This class is sponsored by Alameda County Public Health Department (Nutrition Service).
