Hey Arroyo Viejo Family,
We're thrilled to announce Tyrone "Baybe Champ" Stevenson Jr., founder of the Scraper Bike Team, has been named a “2025 Icons Among Us” recipient by the Black Joy Parade and Comcast! This prestigious award recognizes Baybe Champ's two decades of dedicated community work, fostering Black joy through bike building and mentorship.
The Shed at Arroyo Park has reopened and with a new schedule! They are actively seeking youth between the ages of 10-17 to join the Scraper Bike Team and Bike Club. The Shed is open Fridays - Sundays here at Arroyo Viejo Park in East Oakland. Spread the word and join the team while space is available. All participants will receive free bikes, bike trainings, and more.

Fridays 3pm - 6pm - Community Bike Clinic
(A community bike shop for minor bike repairs and youth program hub for Scraper Bike Team Members.)
Saturdays 11am - 3pm - Youth Program / Ride out Days
Sundays 11am - 3pm - Youth Program / Ride out Days
